Enviromental, Health & Safety (EHS) Policy

All levels of PMM CONSTRUCTION CO. LTD  management are committed to, and accountable for, implementing, maintaining, measuring and improving the environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs of the company.

In particular, the site supervisors and foremen shall be responsible and accountable for implementation of EHS programs at the site. Self-assessments of our performance in these areas will be routinely conducted. We will measure performance and hold all employees accountable through performance enhancement processes.

The management of PMM CONSTRUCTION CO. LTD will continuously provide a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, customers and public. We demand safe work behavior and practices at all times.

The management maintains the policy of equal employment opportunities for all qualified persons and strives to provide all employees with fair equitable terms of employment.

Supervisors and Site Foremen

a) Are required to implement the stipulated PMM CONSTRUCTION CO. LTD safety rules for activities conducted within the sites.

b) Are responsible for reporting to the projects manager any aspects under their control which cannot meet safety requirements within the resources provided.

c) Enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) equipment such as helmets, boots, goggles etc.

Employees

All employees are to comply with the EHS policy. And in addition all employees:-

a) Must take all reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their conduct at the workplace.

b) Must not willfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of health and safety.

c) Must not willfully place at risk the health and safety of any person in the workplace

We will strive to prevent or reduce the generation of waste through good and sound work practices. Where waste cannot be eliminated, it will be managed in compliance with all applicable requirements. We will pursue our work with minimum disturbance to our neighbours and the community at large.

We will maintain our vehicles in optimal condition to minimize their consumption of fuel and their emissions to the atmosphere.

We will manage scarce resources, such as water, energy, land and forests in an environmentally sensitive manner.

PMM CONSTRUCTION CO. LTD will comply with all applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations as required. All our employees including the management team are responsible and accountable for compliance and have an obligation to bring issues and concerns forward for resolution. Compliance with EHS standards will be a key ingredient in the training, performance, review and incentives of all employees.

We will continually seek opportunities to improve our environmental performance by establishing objectives and targets and measuring progress.
